The Salisbury House Foundation presents the Salisbury Concours d'Elegance and show. The Salisbury House is an English manor house located in Des Moines, Iowa situated in ten acres of oak woods and gardens. The house was feateure on the A&E Network series, America's Castles. The purpose of the Salisbury Concours is to raise funds for the preservation and restoration of the Salisbury House and gardens. British saloon and sports care, among others, are special interest categories in 2010. This year's Festival is September 12, 2010 . The location is Oakton Community College, in Des Plaines, Illinois, easily reached from major expressways. The forest preserve setting provides ample paved parking for both participants and spectators. Vendors and local marque clubs will be on hand to answer questions and provide information. Plan on making a day of it.
