MGB Costello V8
(times followed: 250)
Good afternoon from London, UK. I am trying to contact anyone in your MG club who might own (or used to own) an MGB Costello V8. These are the cars converted to V8 power by Ken Costello in the UK from 1970 to about 1974 (although more were done in the early 1990s), which gave British Leyland the urge to develop their own factory version - the MGBV8. The Costellos are rare beasts these days with only about 225 converted in those earlier years. As a Costello Roadster owner here in the UK, I manage a website (as a hobby) which attempts to unite all the current Costello-converted cars, allows owners to share ideas, stories, photographs, articles and so on. If you have any Costello owners in your club I'd very much like to hear from them - it would be great to add more of these rare cars to our list, especially from North America. It's all completely free, and copyright is atributed to the owner for any photos or text they submit. Take a look - http://www.mgcostello.com and drop me a line. Kind regards Lawrence Wood.
